NORDIC HANDMADE CERAMICS

The vision

I’ve always been captivated by history and heritage not just my own, but the collective heritage we all share. Whether it’s the remnants of ancient Greece standing tall at the Acropolis, the tea ceremonies in China where each ceramic set marks a unique occasion, or setting the table for my wonderful family on Midsummer’s Eve when the sun never sets, these moments of cultural significance that connect us all is reflected in the homage I pay to history and heritage with my ceramics.

Beauty lies
in the unique

The art form

Wabi-sabi is a Japanese concept that finds beauty in imperfection and transience. Rooted in Zen Buddhism, it values rustic simplicity (wabi) and the natural aging process (sabi). In design and art, wabi-sabi embraces natural materials, asymmetry, and the unique character that comes with wear and age, celebrating the imperfect and the transient.
